I arrange Forest Bathing in Isabella Plantation and Kew Gardens.
Isabella Plantation is in Richmond Park. It is world famous for Azaleas in April and May.
All about Forest Bathing
Forest Bathing originated in Japan in the 1980s. At that time, work-related stress was literally killing people. The government organised trials of many different strategies to see what would be most effective. It was found that any contact with nature relaxes the neocortex and reduces stress.
But when time was spent around trees in a forested environment, the benefits were especially powerful.
Trees breathe out chemicals called phytocytins which protect them from insects and fungi. When we breathe these in, they strengthen our Immune System. So Forest Bathing doesn't only give the mental benefits of relaxing our brain, it also boosts our physical health.
Studies showed that spending relaxed time with trees is the most effective way of reducing stress and improving health and wellbeing and the results last for weeks.
We often enjoy a bring and share picnic.
And some people like to get really close to the trees.

Invite your team to come for a mindfulness forest-bathing wellbeing day with DurgaMata.

Contact DurgaMata to arrange your bespoke event.
This usually includes mindfulness training
and a picnic under the trees.
